ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
My name is Danielle and I help people make sense out of life’s plot twists. I possess keen insights, am grounded in reality, and I see life through a lens of common sense. I use humor and show up for my clients in a way that is true and authentic. I am intentional and I work from the soul.

STYLE & APPROACH
My style is not straight out of a textbook & I do not believe there is a “one size fits all” approach to counseling. My methods are not focused on helping people to manage symptoms but to help identify root cause. I work with clients to help develop their own proprietary blend of tools & techniques. I utilize a personalized approach focused on empowering individuals to: identify inherent strengths, cultivate resiliency, craft solutions and meaning making.

No, I Don’t Take Insurance—Here’s Why
CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
I respect and want to help protect your right to privacy. Opting for private-pay psychotherapy removes the involvement of third-party entities (i.e. insurance companies) in the care and financial decisions related to psychotherapy. Your sessions remain entirely private between you and your therapist. Insurance claims, on the other hand, require the submission of a diagnosis, which becomes a part of your permanent health record.
NO DIAGNOSIS REQUIRED
I do not believe that all people seeking counseling should have to be diagnosed with a disorder or be classified with a mental illness. With private pay psychotherapy, the focus is not on labeling with a diagnosis as with the bio-medical model, but with the wellness model and without the pressure to pathologize the normal human experience. This allows therapists to concentrate on promoting overall well-being rather than solely addressing specific symptoms.

INSURANCE
While I do not bill or work with insurance companies I would encourage you to contact your insurance company to inquire if you are eligible for reimbursement for out of pocket or out of network costs for counseling. I am able to provide you with an invoice for each session’s payment.
